Book Review: A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

This was better than I expected.

I had never read Sherlock Holmes before (apart from Moriarty by Anthony Horowitz) and didn’t know what to expect. I found it very interesting.

It follows Dr John Watson who has come to London from Afghanistan and he begins lodging with Sherlock Holmes in Baker Street and they immediately try to solve a case which takes them to Brixton in South London.

The book’s plot was good and the writing was good. I am looking forward to reading more of Sherlock Holmes soon.

3.5 stars for me.
