Review: Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson and an update…

Hey everybody!

I’m really sorry I don’t blog much here any more and I promise you I am going to try and get posts up regularly here from now on! If you don’t know, I started a BookTube channel in March of this year and upload between 2 and 3 videos a week!

Today I am doing a review for Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson!

I really enjoyed this book and I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads! It is about Sylvie and Carl who have been best friends since they were very young and have called each other boyfriend and girlfriend! Sylvie gets to know another person she goes to school with and this other person invited Carl and Sylvie over to her house and is basically trying to be nice to Sylvie to get Carl to be her boyfriend, which is a very interesting plot! I found this really cool and liked where the story went!

Thanks for reading my review of Kiss! Please leave me a comment and I’ll see you soon!

Explaining myself in a book review…

Hello, world!

I’m really sorry I haven’t posted on LoveBooks for like 3 months!

But today, I’m back and hopefully I’ll be able to post more often now here.

Today I am reviewing Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.

The book is about two twins called Cath and Wren. They do everything together. But they split up when they go to University as Cath wants to write her Fanfiction (that is what she loves doing) and Wren wants to go out and have fun.

They go to the same university.

I like the book because it explains what uni life is like and how two girls that grew up together are so different.

I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads and highly recommend you to read it!

I hope to post blog posts more often now.

Feel free to write a comment below on your thoughts on the book and I will be answering all of them!

Bye guys

My life of books

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog!

I’m really sorry I haven’t posted for such a LONG time! I hope to be back to doing these regularly, like once or twice a week.

I am going to be talking about how I got to like books. It was all through a thing called The Summer Reading Challenge. I went to my local library one day when I was 7 with my father and a librarian was like ‘Do you want to join the Summer Reading Challenge, where you have to read 6 books during the summer. Now, I usually was only coming to the library to play games on the computer and stuff like that and I’d never really had much interest in books, even though on the day I was pretty confident and I did want to give it a go. My parents thought I would never be able to read 6 books and enjoy it! So, I joined and I picked up some books and loved them! It was probably the best decision I’ve ever made!

I have done the SRC ever since. And I’ve loved books ever since. But I never ever knew I could blog about books, I just found out I could do it out of being a twitter-aholic (is there such a word?) I saw loads of people blogging about books and I found WordPress and thought, why not blog?

I’m sorry I’ve been so inactive on my blog but I will post more often now.

Thanks for reading guys!

See you in the next blog post!

Bye for now!

Review: Girls under Pressure by Jacqueline Wilson

Hello, world!

Sorry for not posting in a long time!

I have recently read Girls Under Pressure by Jacqueline Wilson. I have given the book 4 stars on Goodreads. It was very interesting and it was about a girl called Ellie and two other girls called Magda and Nadine. It is part of a series.

It was about how much Ellie thought she was fat but she actually isn’t and she went on a diet. Her stepmother Anna and her dad told her she shouldn’t be on a diet because the shape she was she wasn’t going to change.

Review: The Last Beginning by Lauren James

Welcome to the sixth post on my blog and the second post in a week!

I just want to say thank you to everyone who emailed and commented on LoveBooks, I really appreciate it!

Today I am going to be reviewing The Last Beginning by Lauren James.

It is about Clove Sutcliffe, who’s parents, Jen and Tom, tell her when she is sixteen that they are not her real parents, they are her Aunt and Uncle, her real parents is Tom’s brother, Matthew and his wife Katherine. The reason that Jen and Tom had to bring Clove up instead of Kate and Matthew is because Matthew was in trouble with the authorities and was taken away and as soon as Clove was born, Kate went to try and rescue Matthew. She never returned.

(This book is set in 2056, which is really cool!)

So Clove is determined to find her real parents when she travels back in time as far as 1745, with a computerised system, Spart, that acts like Siri on Apple devices apart from Spart is much more useful then Siri!) There she meets Matthew as a boy her age. And she goes on lots of little adventures while in the past…

I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads.

Leave your thoughts if you have read this book below in the comments! I would love to read your opinion!

Thanks for reading

Next post coming soon!

PS I know, this book is KA-Ray-ZEE

LoveBooks: Wave me Goodbye by Jacqueline Wilson review

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven’t posted in almost 2 weeks I have been busy reading Jacqueline Wilson’s new book Wave me Goodbye which I am going to be reviewing today.

It is set in September 1939. It is about a girl called Shirley and one morning she is told by her mother that she’s going on a ‘little holiday’ But, what is really happening is that she is being evacuated from London to avoid the war.

She meets a Convent girl while on the train called Jessica whom she really likes. She didn’t get to see much of Jessica during the story as she is a Paradise Road School pupil and they go to two different schools.

She ends up with two boys from the East End of London (she dosen’t like) 10-year old Kevin and toddler Archie in Mrs Waverley and Miss Chubby’s house.

I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads.

Ok, so that’s my blog post finished for today.
